History
White Russian Records started off in January 2005.
Bart & Eelco who had been playing music together for quite a while figured the time was there.
When the decission was made to start the record label, we sat down and made a huge list of possible labelnames.
We figured it had to be something that we both liked, and would have a special meaning to us.
We decided to go for "White Russian Records" since the one and only "The Dude" drinks it all the time in our favorite movie "The Big Lebowski", plus we like drinking them every now and then.
And we have to say, it's a pretty cool name anyways, isn't it!
The reason behind White Russian Records is not because we want money.
We think there are so many great bands out there that work their asses of but just don't get the attention they need.
We'd like to help 'm out. We do compilations (Change The Station) featuring bands that we think are awesome, plus we help other bands releasing their album.
In 2005 we released a tape and a cd by the lovely band Spastik Spankers.
A year later that was followed by the full length of AllunderAge.
In the meantime we did some compilations, and did another one in 2007.
In 2008 we hit it full throttle, and put out the Discourse Avenue EP and another compilation.
Unfortunately Bart decided to quit early 2008. He'll still be helping out Eelco with small things, but White Russian Records will now mostly be done by just Eelco.
