The Spastik Spankers album is selling pretty well, the hundred handnumbered cd's and fifty handnumbered tapes -that come with a songbook- are more popular then we could have imagined!That's why we're very happy to announce that the record is not only available in our little store, but through Interpunk as well!
The album will also be available during Spastik Spankers shows, although we all know there won't be too much of them.
June 24th will be one of those rare opportunities to see them live though.
The Spankers agreed to play a set on the Boschkilde festival at the W2 venue in their hometown.
If you have no clue what to expect from this record, it will be a good plan to keep checking here every now and then, we are awaiting some reviews, and they will probably look good.

It might get them in the Lowlands Top 25.

De Spastik Spankers hebben in drie oefensessies 15 nummers geschreven en deze daarna ook nog even opgenomen. Dit is vanzelfsprekend te horen aan zowel de productie als aan de nummers zelf, maar lijkt ook de bedoeling van de heren. Rammelende punk met grappig bedoelde teksten en titels als ‘Superheroes Wear Spandex’, ‘Laptops Hurt Your Balls’ en ‘Hookers Have Problems Too’.
Zoals de drie punkers zelf al zeggen in de openingszin van hun biografie: “What’s too say about a bunch of guys playing sucky music?’ Er zou gezegd kunnen worden dat de grap op cd niet echt overkomt, dat de nummers weinig potentie bezitten en dat de zang erbarmelijk slecht klinkt, maar aangezien dit allemaal zo bedoeld is zeggen wij gewoon dat liefhebbers van simpele punkrock deze band eens op het podium moeten gaan bekijken.
